Kitchen Staff Conduct

A staffer’s personal conduct is important to us. At Greystone, and in life, we hope you are striving to reflect Christ through your actions. Please keep the following in mind:

  • Your conduct should carry over into online profiles and personal social media platforms. If you wouldn’t want your little sister or your mom to see it…do not post it!
  • Know what you are wearing on a daily basis and please choose modest options. We will ask you to change clothes if it is inappropriate.
  • We also expect members of our community to take wholesome pictures at camp, and we will delete images that we deem inappropriate.

In order to protect our community, breaking the following rules are grounds for immediate dismissal from camp.

  • You will not drink, smoke, vape, or do any drugs during the time you are contracted to work at camp.
  • You will not pull pranks, moon or flash anyone, play with matches, shoot fireworks, play with or throw knives or hatchets, nor cause any damage to the houses.
  • We ask that our staff show respect for others and for the Greystone property. We will not tolerate bullying, disruptive, and/or difficult behavior while at Greystone. Any staff behaving in these ways will be sent home at the discretion of the Directors.
  • You will not leave camp property without Gervais’ permission, including on your day off.
  • You will not date which we define as holding hands, kissing, or even being alone in a boy-girl pair unsupervised.
  • You are not allowed to leave your house after we return to the houses from Evening Program.
  • You are not allowed to go into a house that is not yours…girls cannot go into the Vic, and boys cannot go into the Gate House. No one is allowed in any other staff housing nor camper cabins.
