A Day in the Life

  • 7:30AM–Start the Morning: You’ll be responsible for waking yourself up every morning! Make your bed, get ready for the day, and head to the kitchen. If you choose to wake up really early, you can go work out, have quiet time on the Dining Hall porch, or just enjoy a good cup of coffee.
  • 8:00AM–Breakfast: Breakfast will be ready in the kitchen at 8:00. You can help yourself to coffee, the hot food, and the fruit and cereal bar.
  • 8:15AM–Time to Work: All of the kitchen staff begin working—cleaning up breakfast, prepping lunch, baking bread, etc.
  • 10:15AM–Morning Devotion: When the dish room finishes washing all the dishes from breakfast, the entire staff pauses for a devotion.
  • 10:30AM–Morning Break: Some of the staff will have an opportunity to go on break during this time.
  • 12:30PM–Lunch: All staff eat lunch together in the dining hall or right outside the kitchen on our porch.
  • 1:00PM–Time to Work: It’s time to serve and clean up lunch!
  • 3:00PM–Afternoon Break: We begin our afternoons with the Afternoon Activity–swimming, a game of ultimate frisbee, fishing, or anything else the counselors come up with. After that you have the rest of the afternoon to hang out in your house, take a nap, go for a run, join a class, or help the Cooks in the Kitchen with dinner.
  • 5:00PM–Prep Dinner: Everyone is in the kitchen to put the finishing touches on dinner.
  • 5:30PM–Dinner: Help yourself to whatever deliciousness was prepared that night.
  • 6:00PM–Back to Work: It’s time to serve and clean up dinner!
  • 7:45PM–Free Time: Head back to your house to shower before heading to Evening Program.
  • 8:45PM–Evening Program: Your counselors plan fun activities for you to participate in at night. Think Capture the Flag, Bible Studies, Guys’/Girls’ Nights, etc.
  • 11:00PM–Lights Out: The actual time will vary every night depending upon what the EP is. Your counselors will gather you in one room, give a short devotion or pray, and turn out all of the lights in the house.
