How to Be Involved at Greystone Now
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: once you’re a Greystone Girl, you’re always a Greystone Girl! Whether you have spent forty years at Greystone or just a few weeks, you are a part of our alumnae community and have a place here.
We want to keep in touch and for you to feel connected to your summer home, no matter how many miles are between us. But what does that look like in action? How can an alumna stay connected with camp now? These are just a few of the ways!
- Follow us online or join a group. We post regularly on Facebook, Instagram, and the Greystone Blog. Follow us to see all of the latest news and updates all year long! You can also join our Alumnae group, Parents group, or one of our growing Facebook city groups to connect with Greystone friends around the country.
- Host a Greystone Party in your city. This fall, we officially launched our “Party in a Box” program, where you can sign up to host a camp gathering in your local area. We’ll send you a box full of Greystone goodies to help make it a success! This is a great way to meet current camp families near you.
- Contribute to the Great Day Fund. Our scholarship fund paves the way for all girls to attend Greystone, no matter their financial situation, and it is needed now more than ever. Your donation, large or small, will make an impact!
- Help out on Opening and Closing Days. Our new procedures require more people than ever to pull them off, and we love having alumnae of all ages return to lend us a hand. Interested in jumping in to help? Read all about it here and let us know you’re interested.
- Attend a Reunion! Our 2023 Great Day Weekend was the highlight of our fall, and we’d love to see you and your friends at the next one. We plan to host these weekends every couple of years, so make sure your information is up to date and that you’re subscribed to the Blog to see announcements about future events.
- Tell a college student about working at Greystone. We’ve already begun hiring staff for summer 2024, and we’d love your help finding the best counselors ever. Word of mouth is our best recruiting tool! Share this video with a student who was made for this job.
- Contribute to our Daily Devotions. Every day we post a new devotion written by former campers, counselors, and alums just like you. We’re always looking for new authors to encourage our Greystone community! Interested? for more details.
- Tell your camp stories on the Greystone Blog. We are always looking for alumnae guest bloggers just like you! Are you interested in sharing about some aspect of your Greystone experience? to let her know!
- Fill out our Alumnae Update Form. This is the place to update your contact information, tell us about your camp reunions, brag on yourself or a friend, or sign up to be notified about future reunions.
- Stay in touch and stop by to visit! You have an open invitation to reach out to any of us at any time - we would love to catch up, answer your questions, or hear your ideas. Will you be driving through the area? Stop by to say hi and walk around camp! Just let one of us know you’re coming so that we can be ready for you.
- Pray for and with us. At Greystone, we believe in the power of prayer and know that God is already at work as we prepare for next summer. Pray for our 2024 campers, staff, and parents, pray for our staff recruiting efforts, and pray for our Head Staff as we make decisions and plans for the year ahead.
