Holiday Gifts for the Camp Person in Your Life
Here at camp we believe in gift giving! Of course it’s fun and celebratory, but we know that it reflects our God, the ultimate giver of every good gift. We reflect his generosity when we extend that to others. And there’s no better time to practice that than the holiday season!
Wondering what to get the Greystone Girl in your life? Look no further - we have compiled our best picks for your camp-loving friends and family members. Our hope is that these gifts will be more than just stuff, that they will remind you of sweet memories and of the magic of this miracle in the mountains.

- If you’re looking for a devotion book, you can’t go wrong with camp favorite Ellie Holcomb’s new Fighting Words. Give it with an invitation to participate in our Fall Book Club together! Check out our Resources page for lots more book suggestions for Greystone Girls of all ages.
- Remind her of the truths she held closely at camp with a Psalm 23 art print or a canvas depicting her favorite camp hymn. What about getting her a bracelet with a Pavilion verse or Honor Council pledge quality on it? (you could even do a stack of all of them!)
- Support her four-fold growth with a Powersheets Goal Planner! We also love their conversation cards and scripture journals.
- Find stocking stuffers and surcees at The Greystone Store! Try a Christmas ornament, Tervis tumbler, hand towel, or key chain. For someone really special, we love an heirloom quality piece of jewelry to remind her of camp or views of Thunderhead.
- Every person who loves Greystone should have a copy of our 100 Year book. This book is a treasure that will stay on your coffee table for years to come!
- Give a book written by a Greystone Girl! Check out books by Heather Holleman, Jennifer Pharr Davis, and Teresa Glenn. And if you’re an alumna author, so we can check out your work!
- Help her feel like she’s back in the mountains with the ultimate gift of Gervais’ coffee (that we serve at camp!), or a North Carolina candle. If you’re willing to spend a bit more, we think every Greystone alum needs an adirondack chair for hometown DMCs. This cozy blanket is our favorite for chilly mornings!
- Give a meaningful experience. What about a flight to see a camp friend, a few nights at an Airbnb in Hendersonville (Jimboy’s VRBO house is our top pick - it sits on Appe Hill and overlooks Putt Cove! Regardless, stop by and visit while you’re in town.), or a class that stirs up an old Greystone love like ceramics, rock climbing, or painting. We also love the idea of making your own camp recipe book from our Cooking page and then whipping up some favorite meals together!
- Give to the Great Day Fund in someone’s honor. There is nothing sweeter than paying your camp experience forward and helping a new generation of Greystone Girls come to love this place.
