11 years as a camper

1st year on staff

Hi, I’m Kenna! I am from Houston, Texas, and I just finished my first year at Wake Forest University, where I am studying English on a Pre-Law track. Camp has always been my second home, and I can’t wait to spend my twelfth summer at Greystone on staff!

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.” John 15: 1-2

A few things I love: Reading, dancing, and deep meaningful conversations

When I have an hour of free time, I like to… Cozy up with a good book or do some crafts!

Something you wouldn’t guess about me: I am in an all female a cappella group

The one thing that makes any day better: A Go-Gurt from the Ice Hut

Best camp tradition? The “are you gonna take tennis?” sketch

Favorite Evening Program? The Play!

The camp food I can’t wait to eat is… Greystone Bread & Honey

Item that I MUST bring to Camp with me: My stuffed animals

The song that describes me: Trebles Finals: Bright Lights Bigger City/Magic

My favorite cheesy joke: What’s a DJ’s favorite restaurant? Panera-era

At camp, I’ll be the one… Doing zumba dances whenever any of the songs are played

Come find me if… You want to discuss who the best Spider-Man is

I wanted to work at Greystone because… all of my favorite memories and best friends came from Greystone, and it truly shaped the way I carry myself and move through life. I am so grateful to be able to work at a place where I am able to so easily serve the lord in everything I do.

The best thing about camp will be… Bonding and forming relationships with campers and having the most fun ever along the way!
