Learn Camp Songs and Send in Your 2025 Music Requests

We’ve said it before, and it remains true - music is a big deal at camp!

Whether it’s camp songs in the Dining Hall or a huge group dance party after Evening Program, you can find us singing and busting out our best moves at some point every day. It’s just one way we express the freedom and joy we feel at camp! Plus, all of those songs become a soundtrack that will always take a Greystone Girl back to memories from that summer.

Dining Hall Songs:

After every meal in the Dining Hall, we sing camp songs together. Most of these songs were written by cabins of campers decades ago (for a dedicated Evening Program!), and we love that alumnae of all ages can recognize these songs from the first note.

Some songs have had even more of a resurgence in recent years, and now, you can find many campers out of their seats and jumping up and down if “When a Greystone Girl Goes Walking” plays! As high energy as our fast songs are, we calm the pace on Sundays and sing slow songs - one of our favorite traditions.

Did you know that we have most of our fast and slow songs recorded for you to listen to whenever you want? New Campers, you will learn the songs quickly once you’re here, but our Soundcloud is a great resource for hearing our songs before you even get here. And alums, we highly recommend playing your favorite song one of these days; it’ll take you right back to camp!

2025 Summer Song Requests:

Our Dining Hall songs are only the beginning, though! We love fun, upbeat music of all kinds, and you’ll hear it playing all across camp and in every cabin throughout the day. Greystone dance parties are legendary!

We take creating the perfect playlists seriously, and we need your help as we’re updating our Firefly music players for this summer. Do you have songs you want to hear at camp? Fill out this form to send them in! Please make sure all the songs you submit are camp-appropriate. We’ll be getting those players updated soon, and we can’t wait for all the singing and dancing fun to come this year!
