Camp is magnificent right now, and we wish you could join us here in Tuxedo! The leaves are falling, the campfires are burning, and the temperature is perfect for a walk on the Lower Road. Thanksgiving tradition: The weekend before Thanksgiving, we gather with my whole family (46 of us) and grill burgers. We call it, “Hamburger Thanksgiving.”

Book you’re reading: I recently read Lenten Lands (about CS Lewis and his wife), and now I am currently reading several books Sandi recommended about child development
Favorite soup recipe: Tomato Soup (Saute diced onions in butter; add diced tomatoes, salt, pepper, garlic and basil; after cooking a while, puree the soup; serve warm with toasty bread)

Thanksgiving tradition: We love turning on the Westminister dog show after the parade - always with lots of commentary, of course.

Movie/show you most love to watch on a cold night: I have never seen the Harry Potter movies, even though I’ve read all the books, so Peter and I are working our way through them. Definitely fall/holiday vibes!
Book you’re reading: Working my way through Tim Keller’s book on prayer and reading the new Liane Moriarty book
Favorite soup recipe: this soup is so good for throwing in whatever veggies you have - it’s a fave in our house!
Favorite type of pie: The Pioneer Woman’s peanut butter pie

Thanksgiving tradition: We go to see the Christmas lights at the Botanical gardens as a family - they have incredible hot chocolate and the best light displays!!
Are you team Fuzzy slippers or team cozy robe? I am strongly on the team fuzzy robe with slippers- why choose one when you can wear both?!
Movie/show you most love to watch on a cold night: Any cheesy Christmas Hallmark movie. Also, growing up my sisters and I would watch Fay’s 12 Days of Christmas (it’s a niche film about dogs who get their home ready for Christmas). It’s a classic.
Favorite type of pie: Pecan pie during Thanksgiving, Apple pie year round
Something from summer 2024 that you wish we could do right now: I would relive Barbie night from Main Camp over and over again

Favorite soup recipe: I’ve been enjoying cooking through the Feeding Littles cookbook (I have a 9 month old), and we made a good sausage/potato soup the other day from it
