Many of the campers wrote about their excitement for Challenge Night in the scanned letters yesterday. I can promise you all they brought that excitement to the Challenge Night Evening Program last night. They quickly learned the Odds and Evens cheered, screamed for their counselors on stage, and participated in a few friendly camp-wide competitions. Two of the games topped the chart for the evening: a few counselors participated in a Spelling Bee (who knew no one could spell Pomegranate!) and the campers took part in a camp-wide game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. The Odd team reached an entirely new decibel when we announced they won Challenge Night!
Jimboy discussed Physical Growth at Breakfast Club this morning. Did you know campers walk almost 5 miles daily at camp?! He encouraged the girls to eat good food, exercise often, and sleep well in order to take care of their bodies as part of the Great Day attitude. We all do this naturally at camp, so Jimboy instructed the campers to ask you, parents, to go on a walk with your daughter around the neighborhood the rest of the year. To add in Social Growth to your walk, leave your cell phone in your pocket to have that DMC with your daughter – a simple way to bring a little bit of camp life home!

Tonight’s dinner is our Birthday Ball celebration! We will be honoring those girls who have birthdays during camp. The Kitchen is serving Cheese Ravioli, Applesauce, Roasted Carrots, Bread, and Cupcakes for dessert!
