Campers At Their Finest

By this point in Junior Camp, we are seeing these campers at their finest! They are comfortable, happy, and confident in the camp routine.

The Junior Campers are the youngest of the entire summer, and they are an absolute delight. Their fresh perspective, inquisitive nature, surprising observations, and quirky conversations always catch us off guard and make us laugh a lot. All you have to do is check our great photos every day, and you will see what we mean!

Camp is an amazing experience. It builds resilience, confidence, social skills, and spiritual growth… and it’s also just plain fun! Both campers and counselors feel the impact when they are in this kind of encouraging, joy-filled community.

We are enjoying more perfect weather today! It’ll be sunny with some clouds and a high of 85. We’re constantly reminding the campers to wear sunscreen, drink lots of water, and to wash their hands to keep everyone healthy.

Tonight’s Evening Program is a big one: CARNIVAL! Dinner and EP are combined into one event as we set everything up like a State Fair. The girls will don hot pink t-shirts and have an hour and a half of pure joy running from food booth to inflatable ride and back to food. They will feast on grilled cheese, pulled pork, cornbread, watermelon slices, chicken ‘n waffle cones, cotton candy, popsicles, and funnel cake. We bring in five gigantic inflatable rides and one spinny strawberry ride. Throughout it all, we have music playing and the girls dancing. It is a true highlight of Junior Camp every year!

Breakfast: Frittata (Baked egg casserole), Sausage Patties, Fruit Bar, Oatmeal
Lunch: BLTs (An all-around camp favorite!)
Dinner: Carnival
Jimboy’s Breakfast Club: Honoring God in the routine of your day will make Himself known to you and make your life better. Proverbs 3:6 says, “In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy path.”
