The Green and Gold Campcast Finale: Camp the Musical

We’ve loved sharing the first season of our Greystone podcast with you this spring, and we have one more episode to present before it’s time to make more memories in summer 2022!

The finale episode of the Green and Gold Campcast couldn’t just be on any old topic, though. We knew it had to be exciting and climactic, something that was too BIG to be captured in any other form. Well friends, welcome to Camp: the Musical!

If you haven’t heard about this production already, here’s what you need to know:

• For the first time in Greystone’s history, last summer EVERY camper at Main Camp took Drama. That meant that the play production had to involve 500+ campers! So our Drama staff got to work.
• The plan came together: every camper would have a part in writing, choreographing, planning, and acting in a brand new musical all about a day at Greystone. Camp: the Musical came together over the 5 weeks of Main Camp as cabin groups wrote lyrics, designed costumes, built props, and prepared for every detail of the biggest production we had ever put on.

You’ll hear interviews from campers and staff as they take you through the process, from writing to performance night. And what a night it was! Picture hundreds of performers, multiple location changes, life-size props, and tons of special effects (we’re not kidding!).
