Take a Walk Down the New River Trail with Us!

We’ve made a lot of fun improvements around here this year, but the one our team may be most excited about? The new River Trail!

This property has always been a part of camp but over the winter we cleared an incredible walking and running path to make a loop starting at the barn and going through the horse pastures to end up where you started. It leads you across the land bridge by the hidden lake, and then along the Green River where you’ll see all kinds of wildlife.

Yes, wildlife! We have seen bald eagles (!), deer, turtles, beavers, and more all living in a happy little paradise back here. One of the best parts of walking the trail is seeing what you can spot!

So how will we use the River Trail this summer? This is when it gets fun! Campers can walk it as a part of World Trail, or run the loop for Fitness. And even better, Stumblers will start at the track and then move on out to the River Trail (we’re never going to want to go back!). We’re also envisioning lots of 5:10 DMCs happening here - can’t you see it?
