Welcome James Franklin to the Year-Round Team!

It is not everyday that we add someone new to our year round team, and we are excited to welcome James Franklin Miller back to Greystone as our Operations Manager.

JF is Jimboy and Margaret’s oldest son and is looking forward to joining his twin sister Catherine as a member of the year round team. Growing up, he spent summers at Camp Rockmont and Camp Arrowhead but jokes that he may have peaked during his time on our staff children’s group, the fun bunch. JF started his career at camp as the youngest member of Gervais’ kitchen crew at 9 years old. He proceeded to spend a record 4 years in the entry level dish crew position before finding a home with the cook side where he continued to work throughout high school.

He later served on Men Staff in 2012-2014, teaching Landsports, where he specialized in Basketball but also dabbled in Advanced Cross Country. After graduating from the University of Kentucky in 2015, he moved to Boulder, Colorado where he worked for a camp database and registration software company called CampMinder.

JF loves adventure sports, especially those involving bikes! He is looking forward to making his home in the mountains of Western NC which offers amazing outdoor rec opportunities and community.

He brings a great deal of technical knowledge and enthusiasm for team building to our Head Staff group. He is looking forward to developing our Mountain Biking program and will also help improve our year round connection with our campers and parents in many ways.
