Challenge Day was last evening. The girls earn points for their team by picking up trash, doing well in cabin clean up and inspection. Last night the girls participated in friendly fun games to win points for their teams. It was LOUD and it was FUN!!
We have just finished our Carnival celebration. We started with a picnic of BBQ sandwiches, slaw, Tater Tots, watermelon and sodas or water. The girls ate with their cabins on picnic blankets in the shade. Then at 12:30 the inflatable fun started! The food offerings were delicious - grilled cheese, cookie decorating, funnel cakes and Cotton Candy. You will see from the pictures it was a huge success with lots of laughter and fun with camp friends!
Breakfast was fruit bar, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, waffles, patty sausage. Dinner will be Chicken Fettuccine, vegetables, fresh baked bread and salad bar.
This afternoon the girls will have their classes then clean their cabins. After dinner, we will have Production Night where the girls in some classes will perform what they have learned this session. From there we will go to the FlagPole and have a beautiful candle light ceremony…this was started 100 years ago and is a very special Greystone tradition that we carry on today!
It is hard to believe that tomorrow is our last day of camp. It will be a full day with classes, packing up, and the special Evening Program - Banquet!! We are having such a wonderful time together. This is a happy camp session and we feel so blessed that you have shared these sweet girls with us!
