’Twas the night before Christmas, and all through Greystone, not a cabin was stirring, for the girls were at home.
The tennis courts were covered with the new fallen snow, and the moon up above made the mountain tops glow.
The horses were neighing all warm in their stalls, and echoes of “Happy Am I” filled the Dining Hall.
The canoes were tucked away all safe in the gym, and the waterslide and pool awaited summer’s first swim.
MeMe and Murray were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of Greystone Girls danced in their heads.
And Margaret in her kerchief and Jimboy in his cap, had just settled down for a long winter’s nap.
When out on the Pageant Court there arose such a clatter, Margaret and Jimboy rose quickly to see what was the matter.
When what to their wondering eyes should appear, but a shiny red sleigh without a single reindeer.
There by the flagpole stood Santa himself, With a nervous Mrs. Clause, and a small, frantic elf.
It was quickly reported that his deer ran away - they heard about Landsports and all rushed to play.
With a look of concern, his story he told: How he wished to deliver the gifts - green and gold.
“I want to give to young girls everywhere, a gift not to play with, not something to wear.
It’s a gift to bring smiles that stretch ear to ear, a gift to be cherished year after year.
It’s swimming and dancing and good times galore, it’s friendships and laughter and much, much more.
It’s a summer at Greystone, it’s special, that’s true - Great memories to treasure, all one’s life through.”
So all went to thinking, and Jimboy with his way, came up with the idea, “Let MeMe pull your sleigh!”
So MeMe and Santa and all of his crew, Carried the gift to all campers, they knew what to do.
