Samford University

Dog Camp, Greystone Gazette

1st year on staff

Hey y’all! I’m Eva Parker! I’m a freshman Journalism/Religion major at Samford University from Orlando, FL. I’ve never been to Greystone before, but the Lord has called me to spend my summer here and I’m honestly so excited for the opportunity to live in the mountains for the summer while pouring into the lives of sweet girls! My heart runs on the love of Jesus, good music, meaningful conversations, a good old fashioned sunset, and all things humorous. I can’t wait to meet everyone!!!

“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:4-5

Personal Interests? Getting to know people, playing guitar, music, traveling, writing

When I have an hour of free time, I like to… Play guitar or talk to my friends… better yet, both at the same time!

Sing? Dance? Or both? BOTH!

Item that I MUST bring to Camp with me…. My Bible!

Something you wouldn’t guess about me… I’ve never been out of the country

Last book I read… Turtles All the Way Down by John Green

Three words to describe yourself: Encouraging, sincere, lively

Hidden talent? Photography

If my life could have a theme song, it would be…. September by Earth, Wind, and Fire

The best thing about camp will be… Making new friends and pouring into the lives of young girls!!
