Thanksgiving is coming TOMORROW and I couldn’t be more excited! Thanksgiving has been my favorite holiday for a while now. It’s simple - family, food, and enjoying a day just focusing on what you’re thankful for (and watching football!). Many of y’all are probably in the process of planning the day - maybe you’re welcoming in out-of-town cousins or helping prep the meal. Maybe you’re like me and you’re packing and preparing to see folks you love who live far away. If you’re braving pre-Thanksgiving traffic, I sympathize, and offer you three of my best suggestions to get through it.
- Car snacks - my preference is Chex Mix and peanut M&Ms, but this one’s your call.
- Planning a Chick-fil-A stop - I like to find a Chick-fil-A at the midpoint of my drive to stretch my legs, let my dog, Harry, walk around, and most importantly, get my nugget fix.
- Have a jam session - play some great music, sing along, and watch the miles fly by! I made a Roadtrip Spotify playlist specifically for a long car trip - but I guarantee it’s just as great for preparing a delicious meal in the kitchen with your family. It’s got a little bit of everytihng - some country, some singer-songwriter, and let’s be honest - I’m still not over The Greatest Showman soundtrack, so I snuck one of those songs in there, too.
Save travels and happy Thanksgiving, Greystone girls!
