Eighty wonderful years. Three delightful children. Fourteen beautiful grandchildren. Three precious great-grandchildren. Fifty years as a camp director and thousands of girls impacted because of her dedication to the Lord. One amazing legacy!
We celebrate the life of a true disciple of Christ, one who committed her life (and Greystone) to the Lord, impacting generations of Greystone girls. Libby was filled with peace as she passed away on September 19th, 2017 surrounded by her family and adoring pets. While we are saddened to lose such an amazing woman, we are comforted in the knowledge that she was ready to go! Since she was a young girl, Libby dreamed of sitting at Jesus’ feet… now that dream is realized. Her influence for God’s kingdom has been great, marked by devotion and excellence, and we rejoice in her heavenly homecoming.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 23 at 2:00 pm. at Reformation Presbyterian Church in Hendersonville. A reception will follow at the church for local friends and those traveling who are unable to stop by Camp. Friends whose schedule allows are invited to a gathering at Jimboy’s house after the service. The church is small, and we recommend staying for the reception at the church only if you do not have time to come by Camp and visit with the family once they arrive.
Your outpouring of love and support from afar can be felt here in Tuxedo, and the Miller family extends their deepest gratitude.
Memorials can be sent to the Great Day Fund, our camp scholarship program providing camperships for girls whose families cannot afford camp. Donations can be made online or sent to The Great Day Fund, 21 Camp Greystone Lane, Zirconia, NC 28790.
So many of you have wonderful memories of Libby, and we have enjoyed reading your comments on Facebook and Instagram. If you have a Libby story or memory to share, we would love to hear it! The Miller family would be blessed to hear of Libby’s impact through the generations.
We will be sending a special Libby Memorial Sparks later this fall to all of our campers and Alumnae. Alums, please make sure your address is updated in our system so that you receive this special mailing.
Thank you for all of your love and support! We rejoice and celebrate Libby, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and camp director.
