What to Expect Tomorrow

It has been a very busy day and I almost forgot to do an update! SORRY!!!

About the only people that care about what is on the blog today are those who are arriving tomorrow morning for opening day. It is a good time to just remind you of the way the day is going to unfold.

Arrive sometime between 7:30 and 8:30 if you can. We will open the cabin area at 8:30, so if you want to have plenty of time to tag your baggage 8:00 is a good time to shoot for.

The walk up the hill is without stress, for your bunks have already been assigned! This was a request from the parents last year and we found it to be a huge improvement at Junior Camp. There is no longer any reason to be the first one in the cabin, no “Me Me” birds here!!!

From 8:30 to 10:00 we will have a reception on the Dining Hall porch (where the scones and coffee are!). Come by and say Hi, we will look forward to seeing you.

By 10:00 parents will be leaving camp and the girls will begin their fun! We take tours, cabin photos, have our health checks, do a swim test, make our schedules (yes, we do this without parent involvement… don’t worry, it will be great!!), and play games… all before lunch!

After Rest Hour we will have our first classes of the session, then it is back to the cabins to clean up for dinner, then a really fun EP (Evening Program) afterwards. By 9:15 we will be in our beds and listening to taps as we drift off to sleep.

It is a fast paced fun day, we can’t wait to get started!
