This blog is not what I was going to publish.
I worked on a very long blog that required a lot of research and links to some other sites… I even skipped morning assembly to start writing. Three hours later I was to the point of inserting photos (the step just before publishing) and I deleted the entire blog by accident.
I was momentarily very frustrated and very mad at myself… but take a deep breath and think about the good. Perhaps I was not supposed to go into this subject. That is what I am telling myself now, anyhow… so I will leave it at this. Today is the anniversary of the most read blog I have ever written. The subject was the cost of camp and for some reason it continues to be widely read. Google the question of why camp is expensive and this blog is one of the top 3 suggestions… that is why it is well read. I did a huge update on the subject, but forget it! Didn’t back up while writing, it is gone. If you want, I will address it later… but unless you ask, I will just stand on my 6 year old words.
There was a funny article in Money “The Unconscionable Cost of Summer Camp” that I stumbled upon yesterday. Read it if you want a laugh!
So I will just go to the daily news… running out of time!
Last night’s EP was amazing. The Seniors put on the best talent show we ever had at a Senior Celebration. It had everything… in abundance! By the time the Court was announced, it was almost 9:00 and the girls were ready to go to their next event (bedtime for most— a pajama party for the Seniors). It was a great night.
Today is nice and hot (temperatures around 90 degrees) and low humidity. It feels glorious to walk through the misters, and the ice huts have never been more appreciated! Classes are in full swing as we move into our last week of camp (remember that camp closes one week from today).
Tonight we will livestream the Junior Play, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown starting around 7:30 PM. The video will be online for the next 24 hours. Check it out!
Thanks for checking out the blog. Your support and encouragement are most appreciated!
