10 Years as a Camper

1st Year on Staff

Hey y’all! My name is Carson and I am SO excited to be a junior camp counselor this summer! I am about to graduate from Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School in ATL (go bears!) and am going to Furman this fall. I absolutely LOVED every minute of my past 10 summers at Camp Greystone and can’t wait for the best summer yet!

“No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead, he puts it on a stand, so that those who come in may see the light.” Luke 11:33

Personal Interests: My dog, Ben Rector, ice hut runs

When I have an hour of free time, I like to… Go on a walk, read devotions, nap with my dog, paint

Best camp tradition? Vespers, sunday whites, and rest hour

Favorite Evening Program? Banquet - duh

Sing? Dance? Or both? Both, poorly but enthusiastically

Item that I MUST bring to Camp with me: My head scratcher, stationery and stamps!

Something you wouldn’t guess about me: I’m lactose intolerant!

Last book I read: Daring Greatly by Brené Brown

Three words to describe yourself: Clumsy, semi-OCD, dog-whisperer

Hidden talent? Walking on my tip toes; getting bruises

If my life could have a theme song, it would be…. The Lonely Goatherd from the Sound of Music

The best thing about camp will be… making new friends!
