Today is the day before Thanksgiving… a day of great joy as we enjoy the traditions and the spirit of the season.
Nothing is better than walking into a house that is filled with the yummy smells of pies baking, turkeys roasting, and cranberries simmering on the stove. The warmth of blazing fires and laughter as we gather together to once again give thanks. And nothing is better than the warmth that fills our hearts as we take time to be thankful.
Many families will take a moment at Thanksgiving for each person to reflect on the year that is drawing to a close and publicly say what stands out as a thing that deserves special mention. I consider you to be a part of my extended family, so consider this my opportunity to let you know how much I appreciate you.
You are so very pleasant to be around… your helpful spirits, your desire to follow the rules with a smile, your love of eachother, your love of the Lord, your appreciation of the moment (quiet and crazy), and your love of camp all combine to make camp much more than fun. You make camp meaningful and I am grateful. Remain the girls that you show yourself to be during the summer… you are at your best when you are here and I hope that you will shine that light when you are home.
So thank you for loving camp enough to read the blog all through the year. Thank you for supporting this place in so many ways. May God Bless You RICHLY in the days to come. I can’t wait to see you again!
With Love,
Jimboy
