What Can A Skip Year Look Like?

After you finish your camper years, it’s time to be a counselor, right? Not quite so fast!

The summer after you graduate from Greystone is your time for a little thing we call a Skip Year. This is your summer to travel, prepare for college, and get a little tast of camp at the Corn Roast Skip Year Reunion.

We miss our Skip Year girls when they’re gone, but we love cheering them on as they volunteer and work and go on adventures in their summer away from us! We are SO proud of all they do, so we’re giving you a small peek at all they accomplished this summer.

Sallie Chambers

Trekked across Europe with high school friends. The highlight was without a doubt hiking through the Swiss Alps - a moment she will never forget!

Riley Preston

Traveled all across the United States going to Horse Shows before going on a trip with her family to Germany, Prague, and Austria.

Laura McAvoy

Loved spending time with camp friends at the Skip Year Reunion and babysitting three times a week.

Libby Levin

Worked as a runner for a law firm and volunteered for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards.

Elizabeth Palmer

Went on a mission trip to Tanzania and Kenya to work and devote time to school children there.
