Camp Inspired Costume Ideas

If there’s one thing we specialize in at camp, it’s costumes! From crazy to funny to realistic, our Greystone Girls come up with the BEST!

Halloween is so SOON, friends, but never fear, we’re coming at you today with our best ideas to inspire your last-minute costume. Take one idea, or all of them, and make sure to send us pictures!

• Re-create your favorite Banquet theme. Your counselor got all the dress up fun during Banquet this summer, so now it’s your turn. High School Musical, anyone?
• Represent the Odds or Evens. You already have the gear, so deck yourself out head to toe in green or gold (or both!). Go as the biggest team fan there is!

• Be the Blob! Bring the fun to your costume party by dressing up in yellow, red, and blue stripes. You can even blow yourself up by attaching balloons. Just beware - people might try to jump!
• Don’t just be a dog, be a camp dog. Take your pick: MeMe, Murray, Tille, Georgia, even a dog cmap puppy! To make it even more fun, make sure you act like your chosen dog - barking encouraged!

• Dress like your favorite camp director. The options here are pretty endless. Skort + tank + sweater + sneakers + pencil in the hair = Laura. Plaid button down + khakis + loafers + dog = Jimboy. Patagonia shorts + soft t-shirt + sneakers + bobby pins in your hair = Sarah Brown.
• Or your favorite counselor! Chacos, shorts, and a camp t-shirt are the comfiest Halloween costume EVER.

• Be your favorite Greystone concert singer. Drew and Ellie anyone? Enough said.
• Forget the theme, just wear your craziest camp costume! From onesies to wigs, we know you’ve got it in your closet already. Just have fun with it and pile on the crazy - you’ll channel your camp friends!
