The 2017 Alumnae Reunion

What a great weekend!

Our 2017 Alumnae Reunion was filled with hugs, laughter, singing, memories, friends, delicious food, the Great Day 5k, Challenge Day, honoring Libby, Banquet, candles, and s’mores!

We soaked up the beauty of camp, celebrated our memories in this place, and enjoyed each minute together. It really was the best weekend of the year!

This year, we remembered and honored Libby throughout the weekend. We are all so grateful for our years at camp and the wonderful influence Libby had in our lives.

We laughed and cried and had a blast! Saturday morning, Jimboy entertained us at Breakfast Club before we ran the Great Day 5K. But the morning wasn’t over before we had Challenge Day! (the Odds won!)

After lunch, we enjoyed activities: riflery, yoga, Greystone Groove, and Party Barge rides.

Then later in the afternoon, Jimboy welcomed us all to Libby’s house for a special time of remembrance and music by our own Dana Cunningham. There was not a dry eye in the house, but we all left encouraged by the way the Lord used Libby in our lives.

And, of course, it wouldn’t be an Alumnae Reunion without our Talent Show and Banquet! We feasted on a special meal, sang songs, and enjoyed toasts. We ended the evening with floating candles, singing songs, and eating s’mores.

Most importantly, we are excited to announce that this weekend raised over $28,000 for The Great Day Fund!

There is nothing better than knowing that future Greystone Girls will be able to come to camp because of the generosity of our Alumnae this weekend. We are thankful for all the staff who gave their time to make the weekend perfect.
