Last night we once again had a delightful concert on the lawn. Jenny and Tyler are a wonderful couple from Nashville who are new to Greystone. Their music is really wonderful for this venue (lots of harmony, great lyrics, good to sing along with) and their laid back and loving demeanor were compelling to the girls (who wanted to hear all the stories). We laughed, sang, danced, knitted, took pictures, talked, played cards, enjoyed see saws, etc.
All the relaxation was enhanced by the perfect evening weather. Blue sky with huge cumulus clouds reflecting the changing hues of the setting sun. When we finished the concert at 8:40, the sun was down and the fireflies up… we strolled up the hill to get crackers then off to bed. Another great day.
Today marks the beginning of a busy week. A couple days of “fun” EP’s (a big outside program that the Senior-Senior campers are hosting), the Counselor Talent show tomorrow… then come the campers as the programs after that are almost all centered around programs the campers produce. It is the top of the roller coaster, our hands are up and we are giddy with anticipation.
The weather is warm and we anticipate two more days of afternoon rain storms before a high pressure system clears the sky and raises the temperatures. Breakfast was waffles, lunch is meat loaf, dinner is chicken piccata. Everything is Awesome!
