Snow!

Last night we got our first “real” snow of the year.

Well, actually it was really the first “sleet” of the year! It began in the mid afternoon with light flurries and soon changed into heavy sleet. It continued to sleet until about 8:00 in the evening, enough time to coat the ground with about 2 inches of solid ice!

I always walk the camp after bad weather, hoping that there was no damage to the camp. Fortunately, sleet does not do damage (freezing rain is the worst). The camp is safe and looks pretty cool in it’s new winter coat. Though I am glad that there was no damage, I am also sad not to have gotten a BIG SNOW.

I still remember and yearn for that feeling of awe after a big snow storm. Not so much awe today, but I will share the photos… it is still pretty.

Camp is just around the corner, I look forward to sharing some details of the new things we are building for you soon… big stuff that will make you smile with delight!
