Price, Promise, Prize

We gave out some really great T-shirts this morning at Stumblers. Our 30th anniversary shirts are much nicer than your normal camp t-shirt… a super soft material that the girls just love. A fitting tribute to a wonderful tradition!

It is a warm, humid, Sunday morning in the mountains. Not a breath of wind, making the mist on the mountains linger for a long time after sunrise. Such a beautiful morning for a run! About 400 campers and counselors showed up, very excited for the day and the week.

This last week of camp literally flies by. The girls will enjoy the slower pace of this day as they anticipate the pace of the days to come. We will enjoy some very big EP’s, pass a lot of levels, finish a lot of projects, and soak up the moments left with our camp friends. The days will go by quickly, banquet is already a hot topic amongst the girls!

One of the things that we do this week is to survey the campers… asking them to let us know what they really enjoyed this year and what was not so great. Their honest opinions (submitted on surveys the last day of camp) are helpful in discerning how we can make camp better. Another thing we depend on is the honest opinion of you, our parents.

If you are particularly pleased or disappointed in anything we have done, I encourage you to email me or make a comment on the blog. We will be assessing how everything worked all summer long and your input will be helpful to us as we make plans for next year. Comments at this point in the summer are particularly helpful and appreciated.

Church today will be very sweet and special. Jonathan Davis has been a blessing to the camp, we love him and his family and hope they will be returning for many years to come. You should check out his Morning Assembly Devotions sometime. The quality of the teaching in a simple 5 minute devotion is impressive.

Thank you for checking the news, even on a lazy Sunday morning. Hope you have a Great Day!
