It is hard to even describe how ready we are for Monday. We cannot wait to welcome our June campers for our 95th summer! Everything about camp is so good…camp looks absolutely stunning. You are going to love seeing all of the facility improvements made this winter. The cabins look exceptionally good, with many small cosmetic changes to spruce things up. The food coming from the kitchen is unbelievable – the kitchen has been trying some new dishes that are over the top (chicken tacos, granola bars, smoothies, and much more). Everything is top notch.
This past week, our counselor staff has been in training, getting ready for this summer. Today is one of the best days of counselor orientation – play day! The counselors rotate between teaching and taking classes (acting like campers) so that every counselor gets a chance to teach her activity before the campers arrive on Monday. It is so much fun, a highlight of the orientation week.
Our summer staff is incredible, probably our best staff yet. The energy and excitement is through the roof, and the talent we have this year is just incredible.
On Monday for Opening Day, we encourage you to arrive early – most campers arrive in time for our Bunk Run at 7:30 a.m. After finding your cabin and settling in, you’ll want to visit the Health Hut to drop of any medicines, and then make sure to visit our Greystone Store. Don’t forget to also come by the Parent Reception on the Dining Hall porch from 8 – 9:30 a.m. to meet the Millers and enjoy our wonderful scones.
We absolutely cannot wait to see you June campers on Monday – let’s raise the curtain and start the show!
