Happy Monday Greystone girls!
Camp has been a busy place! Almost every weekend, we have had some sort of group using camp – the past 2 weekends, we hosted 2 huge RUF Fall retreats. Colleges from all over came to relax and learn about God. Our Main camp minister Tim Udouj brought a big group of Furman students, and many of our counselors came to enjoy time at camp with their college friends. Camp in the fall is so pretty!
It is also time to announce the winner of the Favorite 2013 Memory contest – we had SO MANY people reply! Our randomly selected winner is:
Jane H., June Camper: “My favorite memory was when I did the V swing on the high ropes course!! I was really nervous, but excited at the same time! All of my friends were cheering for me and one of my favorite counselors was telling me how fun it would be! Not only was it the most fun thing ever, I was really proud of myself because I did something that I didn’t think I could do!”
Congratulations Jane! We will be sharing some other submitted favorite memories in our upcoming Sparks.
Also big news at camp – two of our own got engaged! Alli heads up our kitchen during the summer and works to make all of our food superb. Josh is one of our trusty maintenance guys, helping to make camp look its best. Alli and Josh met at camp, and Josh FINALLY asked Alli to marry him. We are so excited for them!
Have a great week!
