The Wait List

The Early Bird enrollments are now complete, a big moment for the camp community and one that I would like to share with you.

Campers can save a spot for the next summer through the early bird process (apply to any session during the Early Bird dates and you are guaranteed a spot). For this reason, we start wait lists before the summer (in May this year) in an effort to make sure we are able to accommodate all of our current campers. It is always exciting to see how the sessions fill up… these enrollments are our first affirmations of how well we are doing our job of providing the ultimate camp experience and it would appear that this summer was better than ever! I will share the “boring details” with you, assuming that the blog readers are fanatics who like to be encouraged by such things.

92% of our campers re-enrolled for 2014 (take away the oldest campers in each session the percentage jumps to 97%). To say that our campers love camp is an understatement. Campers LOVE Greystone and REALLY want to come back.

This makes us very happy and it also is a little scary. Every session is over-booked at this time and we are actively praying that God will show His Will with each camper. Many will end up dropping out over the next few months, and that is OK. We expect this adjustment (it happens every year); so we sleep well at night for we know that God is going to work out all the details Perfectly.

Our 95th summer promises to be a very special one. The first indication of this fact is in the enrollment of so many great campers. If you are considering Greystone but have not yet enrolled, don’t delay. Act as soon as possible if you want to give yourself a chance to attend camp this summer. The application process is quick and the deposit is fully refundable. If you are reading this, it is for a purpose! Our wait list is still short and we will accept campers on a first come first serve basis by grade. You can check the wait list online anytime. The numbers speak for themselves: try it and you will LOVE IT!
