2 Big Announcements!

Hello Greystone Girls! TWO big announcements today…

In a project that has been in the works for many months, we are so excited to announce our new Daily Greystone Devotion section of the website. Each day, you can check in to read a devotion written especially and specifically for our Greystone family. The many different authors are current or former staff…they have done a wonderful job.

Checking the devotion daily is a great way to keep the Greystone Spirit alive throughout the year. Here are some ways you can use the devotions throughout the year:

  • Have your cabin group commit to reading the devotions every day for a month. Keep each other accountable by e-mail, text, Facebook, etc.
  • You and your best camp friend can e-mail each other with thoughts each day on the devotions, discussing what the devo meant to you.
  • Decide to memorize a verse a month listed with each devo, so that by the end of the year, you have memorized 12 new Scripture verses.
  • Keep a Greystone devo journal, listing things that stand out to you in the devotions, or questions you have.

We hope you will use this great resource as a way to grow spiritually throughout the year. Let us know what you think.

Alright…2nd big announcement, we are officially starting our first Instagram contest of the year – first of many! How will these work? We (@campgreystone) will be posting a new photo theme about every 2 weeks. You can then post your favorite camp photos that fall within that current theme. When you post your photos, use the hashtag #campgreystonecontest to be entered into the contest (must use the hashtag to be entered). Your photos will show up on our cool new Instagram page when you use the hashtag. First photo theme: best picture with a counselor.

For the Instagram contests, you can enter as many photos as you would like, and a winner will be chosen at the end of each contest. Please only enter your own photos, not photos you have copied from the Greystone website. Anyone that is part of the Greystone family can enter…you don’t have to be a current camper or counselor. Don’t have Instagram? No big deal! Follow along with the current photo theme and e-mail me your photos. (sarah@campgreystone.com)
