Overnights and Tours

Last night, as you know, the rising 10th graders enjoyed an overnight and movie on the hill. They roasted s’mores, played games, had a private “mountain top” concert with Drew and Ellie, watched a movie, and slept under the stars. I have a couple plictures from the evening… it was a slam dunk experience for certain.

Today has gotten away from me…

We woke up late (sleep late Tuesday, for the benefit of the late night movie goers). I arrived to the office to see the shining face of our local Health Inspector (we got an “A” again). Then came a quick photo project that I needed to knock out quickly… it is going to be cool.

We are working on a “camp tour” for the website. The idea is to give parents and prospective campers the chance to virtually tour camp by walking the trails and looking into buildings… we have the campers and counselors wave if they are in the space… and it takes a long time! A complete tour of camp takes me about 3 hours if I rush. This tour will be even more in depth, as we hope to show the interiors of virtually every facility in camp… I imagine that if someone is to “tour” the whole thing it will take them several hours of clicking. Literally thousands of photos… very cool effect. I promised Nicholai photo’s for an initial “walk” today. If I delay: problems. So if you notice a bunch of waving in todays pictures: that is why.

I love giving tours of camp. It is inspiring to see the classes, to meet the girls, to see the facilities, to walk the paths… just a wonderful place to be. Your girls could now be excellent tour guides. They know the place and the people… and their love shows.

Have a wonderful day. Will do another update if I get a chance.
