Wednesday at Junior Camp

Last night, after the FUN Dance Night evening program, the girls went to their cabins, got dressed for bed, and just as the lights went out, we got a great rain. There is nothing like the sound of rain on the cabin tin roof at camp….we always sleep well when it rains at night! The morning was clear, crisp, sunny and bright, and it has been the best weather day of camp so far!

The girls came to breakfast and were served fruit bar, oatmeal &/or cold cereal, french toast and sausage. Lunch was salad bar, sliced ham, macaroni & cheese, fresh baked bread…it ws wonderful! Supper tonight is the most popular dish at Greystone, Cheesy Chicken, served with angel hair pasta, and salad bar. The girls love this Greystone tradition!

I have posted pictures of the Water Park today….as I mentioned in an earlier newsletter, the Water Park is one of our favorite activities, so this year, we offered it twice to the girls so that they could have lots of play time. Our wonderful photographers have taken some great pictures that show the FUN that we all are having at camp.

Tonight’s evening program is Counselor talent show night. Our staff will put on a great performance and the girls just love seeing their counselors on stage! We are hoping for some “real” talent tonight, as we have some very gifted staff. However, most of the night will be filled with funny skits that make the girls laugh and entertain us ALL!! Tomorrow night is the night the girls entertain the counselors with all that they have learned this session…..it is always wonderful!!

It is hard to believe that tomorrow is the last full day of camp. The time always flies, but I do know that you will find growth in your girls, and I know that you will love hearing the camp songs that they know so well now! I will write about pick up proceedure tomorrow, but there have been questions about the pick up time. The girls will be dismissed at 10 AM, after our breakfast banquet, however parents may arrive earlier (as early as 7:30) to pick up their things from the cabins if you like.
