Laura Hollowell is our Director at Greystone, and both of her daughters got engaged last week! We are so excited for Leland and Kathleen. Here’s the scoop….

Leland has been a counselor and Group Leader for a number of years and has been dating Mark for quite a while. Both Leland and Mark graduated from Wofford, so after tailgating at a recent Wofford game, Mark took her somewhere special on campus, dropped to his knee, and asked her to marry him. She said yes! We are so excited for Leland and Mark!

Kathleen was also a counselor and kitchen counselor for a number of years. She has been dating Mike for a while, since they met in school at the College of Charleston. They have attended the Renaissance Fair together for 5 years, and Mike strategically set up a proposal while a harpist played the song Give Me Your Hand (very appropriate Mike!) Can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two love birds.

Now, on to babies….

Laura Richmond Vance is a long time Greystone girl, working as a counselor in Landsports and as a Group Leader for a few summers. She and her husband Nic married a few years ago and now live in Texas, where he is finishing medical school. Their cute little girl Ellie is adorable, especially in her Greystone shirt!

Jennifer Pharr Davis is also a long time Greystone girl, and is also my best friend from camp! She welcomed an adorable little girl Charlotte (Charley) Adelaide into the world just a few days ago. I was able to meet her over the Thanksgiving break – what a cutie! Jennifer holds the worldwide record for the fatest hike on the Appalachian Trail ever – with Charley’s long fingers and toes, I think she is going to be just like her mama.

I also found some photos from a Greystone get together – what great buddies! Wish I had done a better job of catching all of the Greystone girls in attendance!!
