Sunday

Ahh Sundays… I say it again.

The day of rest, the day of frantic activity…

A 3 mile jog, carrying a 6.2 pound camera snapping photos while keeping up a banter of whitty comments on the athletic prowess that surrounds me… no wonder I sweat buckets. We heckle Team Hollowell and secretly wish we could keep up with their snail pace. Lap after lap go by… monotony joined with motivation to keep up with our friends. Then it is over and we feel GREAT! Nothing like it.

This is our 3rd Sunday, we are well aware of the routine by now and we are ready for the deep breath before the big week that is ahead of us. Wednesday starts the BIG EP time of the summer, every night a celebration that is like the burst of a 6 inch firework shell in a grand display. Ooh… Aahhh… Applause… Gasp. The preparations for these big events will consume us this week… it will make the time FLY BY. We are approaching the Pinacle of the mountain, that time of the summer when we make that final push to summit before the sun sets. The day will end soon, let’s get it done with style!

I am already late for my duties; Honor Council breakfast, followed by Head Staff meeting, folllowed by Church, followed by a Rest Hour party at Grey Lodge, followed by a dinner party at Grey Lodge, followed by a Concert by the Lake.

All this and 70 degree temperatures too? God is good.

This really is the day the Lord had made and we are Rejoicing and Glad in it.

Thanks for reading… you are the “fans” and you encourage us “players” with your interest!

Cheers,
