Main Campers- One more day!

Sunday Morning… The counselors are returning from their break between sessions and every face is quite literally fixed in a permanent bright smile. They aren’t “faking it”; they can’t wait to get started.

Main Camp is, hands down, the MOST favorite session of the counselors. They love it as much as you do, wait for it with the same anticipation, and dive in without reservation. July in Ol Tuxedo really is Super Neato (don’t worry if that sounds lame… in a couple days it will sound right again!).

This year I will only have 2 campers coming from my house. Catherine is spending her “Skip Year” volunteering at another camp, and she loves it very much. Camp is just a great way to spend the summer. But as great as camp is, noplace is like Greystone. My Caroline and Virginia did their camp shopping yesterday with Margaret, worked hard at it all day long returning at 10:00 PM! Our house is a mess of clothes, battery operated fans (no AC fans this year, sorry… fire marshall rules), markers, and accessories. So much fun. John goes to Falling Creek today, carrying on the tradition with pride. On Monday, the house will be empty but you will be here! What a wonderful time of year it is… good things around the corner!

The gates open at 7:30, which means at 7:30 you can run up the hill to your cabin. There is not any point to arriving super early, but there will be many who choose to do so (7:00 seems to be a reasonable early time). Hot Coffee and hot scones await!

Thanks for checking in, (800 checked the news yesterday, wow).

With Greystone Love,

Jimboy
