Hello Greystone family!
Things are just rocking and rolling here at camp – it feels like camp is just around the corner as we have so much going on. Boxes are piling up filled with program supplies, store clothes, office paper, and more. The new front lawn wall is pretty much finished, and the office renovation is seeing its final days. New mulch has been spread all over camp, a new floor in the Grey is almost complete, and a last minute fishing hut renvoation is under way. Life at camp is good!
Wanted to share some great pictures with you that were sent in by some camp friends.
First, long-time Greystone girl Catherine Lee is a star softball player for Mizzou – you might remember a blog post from last year when we all watched her play on TV. Main campers Cara and Mary Katherine attended a recent game – how fun! Love this picture of their reunion.
The second picture is of a great Greystone family! Lell, who works at camp year round, recently traveled to Missouri with her mom, sisters, brother, and sister-in-law for the finals of the Division II girls basketball championship. Her brother is the athletic director for Clayton State, and the team won the entire championship!! How fun! In the picture (L to R): Lell Barfield Harboe (you all know her!), Ann Barfield (mom to Lell, counselor in the 60’s), Elizabeth Barfield (camp nurse), Mason Barfield (athletic director for Clayton State), and Kay Barfield Lee Brown (camper in 1960’s, mom to Martha and Catherine Lee). Congrats to the Barfield family and Clayton State!
