Trip to Spartanburg

Last Friday, a great Greystone group loaded up in the car and headed to Spartanburg to see the Coffee Bar! Laura and Gervais own a coffee company called Little River Roasting. We enjoy the coffee all summer at camp – it is excellent! At the end of last summer, Little River opened a new store in downtown Spartanburg called the Coffee Bar – it is outstanding! A cute bookstore and bakery share the space, making it a one-stop-shop for coffee, sweets, and a good read. The place was overflowing with people the entire time we were there!

Within a few weeks of being open, a news crew showed up to tell the Hollowells that the Coffee Bar had been voted the best coffee shop in the Upstate (that’s competing with Greenville, Hendersonville and Spartanburg!!). We got to see the awards plaque they received – quite an impressive feat to win such a huge award after only being open for a few weeks! Go Coffee Bar!

We loved the trip to Spartanburg and hope to visit again soon. If you’ve never tried Little River Roasting coffee, you should! It is a Greystone staple.
