Amanda Eidson’s mom sent me a note this week about a Christmas reunion held in Nashville and Memphis. All over the country these reunions happen all the time (my girls love setting up little get togethers, we have found January a great month to make them happen). I will copy Mrs. Eidson’s note so you can follow the action!
“I wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful Tennessee Greystone reunion between Nashville and Memphis in December when the girls got out of school. We hosted 2 girls (Felicia Cimaglia and Haley Little) from South Florida for 2 nights as well as Madeleine Dugan from Nashville, and then drove the girls to Memphis where the Meeks family (Natalie and Gracie Meeks) took over as “hosts extraordinaire” and where 2 other girls (Flora Neuhoff from Dallas and Caroline James from South Carolina) flew in. In Memphis, there were 7 Greystone girls, and they stayed there for 2 days, then we got the Florida girls back, and everyone flew home. The girls had an AMAZING time together, and it was definitely a highlight of Amanda’s holiday vacation! I have included a few photos for your viewing pleasureJ. Julie Meeks had grey tshirts made for the girls to commemorate the reunion, and the girls loved them!
It was just incredible to see how the girls have bonded, and when they got together, it was like they were just together the day before, so no awkwardness of not having seen one another in over 4 months. At the airport as we were waiting for the Florida girls to board their plane, the girls sat down on the floor at the gate, held hands, and prayed for their time together, their gratitude for the hosting families, a safe journey home, and a blessed Christmas. It was a truly beautiful moment, and I wish you could have witnessed it. It is such a testament to you, your family, and all those who work so hard to provide such an extraordinary experience at Greystone – not just fun at camp, but something much stronger and long lasting.” Mirian
