Jim-Ball - New Camp Game!!

So much fun! Check out the new game for camp this summer. It is called Jim-Ball! We played it today to be sure that we all know how to play. Here are the rules:
Jim-Ball Rules

1 – One person who is not a player is designated as the referee. The referee is the sole authority during play.
2 – To start the game, all players must have one hand on a wall in the Jim-Ball Pit and be ready to start. Minimum players 2, Maximum players 20.
3 – One player tosses the ball up in the air. Players yell “Jim-Ball” on the first bounce and “Jim-Ball” again on the second bounce, and the ball is then in play.
4 – Players hit the ball with their hands only, and may not carry or throw the ball: it must be hit with open hand or fist.
5 – If the ball contacts a player or a player’s clothing below the waist, that player is out.
6 – If a player strikes the ball out of the Pit without it hitting anything else before exiting, the player is out. If the ball hits a wall before exiting, no one is out. If the ball hits another person before exiting, the person who was hit is out.
7 – A player who hits another player above the waist is out. Keep in mind that the strategy is to aim for the walls.
8 – Once the player hits the ball, he or she must wait until the ball touches someone else before hitting it again (no double touches).
9 – If there are only two players remaining, a player may hit the ball up to 3 times in a row. The ball is “rejuvenated” by contact with the wall, and the hit count resets.
10 – The game continues until there is one person in the Pit. Then the winner gets to serve in the next game.

The rules are a work in progress. We are still tweaking a little bit, but you get the idea. We can’t wait to play Jim-Ball with you!
