Projects

Sarah mentioned a big ditch that is being dug on the front campus… this is a BIG project that will be enjoyed by campers for the next 100 years. It all started with the removal of the big pine trees: we wanted to make the new trees even more beautiful, and this will involve building a sitting wall (comfortable for sitting on) along the entire front campus. This wall will have three large (24 foot) stairs to ease access from the road to the grass. The five honor council benches will be the focus of the entire area… meet me at “courage” will be very easy to figure out! And imagine how much fun it will be to eat picnics along the wall… tons of seating room!

We are going to pour 40 yards of concrete tomorrow morning, this will form the foundation of the wall. The rock will be delivered on Monday and our Rock Masons will get to work! The last step will be the delivery of the new trees… gigantic Cypress trees that will be set with a crane. We hope to be finished by Christmas, so stay tuned for the updates.
