Ugh... a lake with no water

Every now and then the power company drops the lake level to allow property owners the opportunity to repair their docks. This is one of those months!

Duke Power is dropping the lake 10 feet, and camp looks a lot different because of this little change. I walked out this morning to take a few photo’s (Kelly’s suggestion). Behold the wonder of the lake!

As a matter of interest, it smells just like you think it would… my dogs LOVE to wallow in it and soak up the goodness. Margaret is ready for the water to come back, but she shouldn’t hold her breath. It might be January before it fills up again (of course, a big rain could fill it in a day).
