OK… the first of the camp improvement updates is here! Today we will look at tennis courts.
The tennis courts have been redone this year, a process that began in October (filling cracks, preparing the asphalt for new surface) and is just now ending (with the application of a sealer and two coats of a new surface color). We have prepared all 8 courts and just finished the first two last week. This is where the blue comes in… you can really see the change!
We have NEVER had blue tennis courts. Frankly we never even thought about it (our courts were a more traditional green) until David Vining (Tennis Head Coach) strongly advocated a change. Blue is a better color for playing (David tells me). The ball is easier to see and that makes a big difference… he has asked for blue courts for years and this year we finally gave in.
The new look is stunning! You will love it… at least I hope so because resurfacing tennis courts is something that we only do every 5 years or so.
Stay tuned for new updates… I am itching to show you more!!!
Have A Great Day
