Kelly Connolly

Waco, TX

2nd year on staff

Kelly first experienced the silly, sacredness of a Greystone summer after her freshman year of college when a new friend convinced her she “had” to be a camp counselor. Summer 2010 was filled with so much laughter, joy, and meaning and she cannot wait to be back on Greystone grounds. Kelly lives in Chicago with her two kittens. Her day job is serving as the Communications Director for an environmental nonprofit. She loves the buzz of the big city, riding bikes by the lake, and exploring the hidden gems in each of Chicago’s unique neighborhoods.

“to grant to those who mourn in Zion, to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.” Isaiah 61:3

Things that I love: sunny days, long walks, a good library book.

Item that I MUST bring to Camp with me: sunscreen + a big water bottle!

The camp food I can’t wait to eat is… Greystone bread pudding!

Favorite childhood book: Junie B Jones

I wanted to work at Junior Camp because… I love the magic of it all!
