Pray for the Salters family

Tuesday, March 27, 2007

You are listening to Dustin's final sermon, "Providence." The sermon was delivered at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Travelers Rest, SC.

You can download an mp3 (right-click and choose "Save target as...") or download the PDF.

Please take a few minutes now & each day to pray for the Salters family. Dustin Salters came to Greystone for the 1st time during summer 2006 at August Camp 1. He was the camp minister for that session. The campers & staff LOVED having him at camp. He brought his wonderful wife Leigh Anne & his 3 very cool kids. (Jacob, Nathan & Meredith) On November 8th Dustin had a bike accident. He went into the ICU at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC. He was the RUF (Reformed University Fellowship) minister at Furman University. He had just transferred there from Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth. He stayed in coma/vegetative state for 4 and a half months. On March 19th he went to be with our Lord. His funeral was March 23 in Fort Worth, TX at Ft. Worth Presbyterian. If you would like a way to contact Leigh Anne, you are welcome to email me to get her PO box in TX.

Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC has a kept a log on Dustin and his family. The link is http://www.redeemerchurch.net/dustin/

I also want to share with you Dustin's last sermon. It was on God's Providence (PDF). Please take a little while to listen to this. It has blessed me so much, as all of Dustin's sermons did.

I know that I personally take "normal" life for granted, many of us do. Please pray for the Salters family. They need our prayers as they have a tough road to walk right now. Remember how precious life is.
