JANUARY
January 22nd & 23rd - Presbyterian College (PC) - Kelly Carew
What fun! I got to chat & laugh with Heather Anne James, Aaryn Jones, John Reading, Emilie Butler & Katie Hunt.
I even got to see Dave Latham. Check out the Weekly Update to see if you can find another photo of Dave.
January 23rd - Vanderbilt - RUF 8:00PM Branscomb Lobby - Cammy Bethea
January 30th - Davidson College - Summer Job Fair Alvarez Union 11:30 - 2:30 - Kelly Car ew
Jan Scott Swetenburg & Leize Galliard were at Davidson to welcome me. Leize will be heading up our new Wilderness Program this summer. Jan Scott will be spreading sunshine wherever she goes and whatever she does. By the way, they both let me walk around for an hour with a name tag on. How embarrassing!
FEBRUARY
February 1st- Furman University- Kelly Carew & Dameron Deavenport
Furman always has a fun group of girls to meet with. Lyndsey Richmond, Ashley Hannifin, Laura Anne Crawford & Hayes Grier will be a part of the Summer 2002 staff. Carrie Flowers will be in Spain or some kind of craziness like that. Who could miss camp? I had so much fun meeting with these girls & their friends!!
February 4th - Converse College - Kelly Carew
I got to see Bonnie Allen who goes to Wofford while I was in Sparkle City, but again I forgot to photograph the moment.
February 5th - UNC at Chapel Hill Camp Day - Carolina Great Hall - 10:00AM - 3:00PM - Kelly Carew
While in Chapel Hill I got to see all kinds of fun Greystone friends! I got to see Laura Churchill, Leah Latella & Caroline Anderson at the Job Fair. After I met with Lydia Pharr, Macy Parker & Anna Pishko. Macy & Anna both go to Duke University right down the road & were nice enough to drive over!
I also got to see Derek Galvin. I visited his UNC gymnastics team practice. WOW! It was fantastic! GO TARHEEL GYMNASTICS!
February 12th - Appalachian State University - Kelly Carew
February 18th - Wake Forest University - Kelly Carew
Emily Brown & Sally Gilliam are Wake Forest students who are so excited for Summer 2002! Emily is on the team & Sally is finalizing some Grad school stuff!! Keep your fingers crossed that it works out for her this summer!
Emily & I also saw Molly Rutladge! I explained to Molly how much I miss college. You need to ask her why. Molly will be a part of our Swim Staff this summer! It will rock!
I enjoyed getting to see all of these girls. I also saw Thomas Schipper. He was on the men staff in 1999. I missed Kathryn Sturdivant. I am very sad.
February 22- Georgetown University - Kelly Carew
February 25- University of Virginia - Kelly Carew -I will be at the Pavillion XI in Newcomb at 2:30. Come by & see me!
I love getting to visit UVA! I got to see so many camp all-stars. I saw Meghan Gouldin when I was on the grounds, but was not quick on the draw to get a photo. I did get to visit with our good friends in this snapshot. From the left Adele Bruce, Kelly (me!), Ryan Galvin & Clermont Fraser.
